Colorado – August 23, 2012 – The GORE-TEX TransRockies Run, one of the United States’ most storied trail races, concluded Sunday in Beaver Creek, Colo. after six days, 120 miles, and 20,000 feet of climbing. The race took runners through the Colorado Rockies, starting in Buena Vista and visiting historic Colorado sites like Leadville, Camp Hale, Red Cliff, and Vail. Legions of volunteers, the TransRockies race organization, and presenting sponsor, GORE-TEX, provided over 300 runners with the experience of a lifetime. The GORE-TEX TransRockies Run is often called “summer camp for adults” and the 2012 edition was no exception. read more »
