GORE-TEX citywear for summer 2010: Style teamed up with enhanced softness for everyday use
Increased mobility and a greater desire for authenticity are the distinguishing features of the summer fashions for 2010. With improved functionality, fashion manufacturers can now make sure that discerning men and women go about their hectic business lives, travel, and enjoy their leisure time activities not only stylishly dressed but also well protected. This is made possible by functional specialists such as W.L. Gore & Associates whose GORE-TEX® products stand for ultimate climate and moisture management, absolute water and windproofness, and apparent weightlessness. For summer 2010 GORE-TEX® citywear is also out to impress with significantly enhanced softness.
For summer 2010, Gore is putting five newly developed GORE-TEX® Performance Shells on the market. The new laminates are significantly softer, more breathable and quieter than their forerunners. They are predominantly being used in men’s and boys’ casual outerwear. The qualities range from classic basic optics, structured polyester fabrics and gabardines to extremely lightweight polyamide fabrics with a fashionable shiny look. The colours setting the trends for summer 2010 are as basic as they are essential, including grey, navy, black and white contrasting with hues of green and khaki, while natural shades of brown and hemp join up with noble white and petrol.
