Gore at OutDoor 2011 in Friedrichshafen (hall A6/500)
The outdoor community is getting together at Lake Constance for the 18th consecutive year. The record number of 890 exhibitors from 38 different countries is expected to attend this year’s OutDoor Trade Show (14 to 17. July 2011).
Once again W.L. Gore is amongst the 1,000 brand names being presented to trade visitors over the four day period.
In hall A 6 / 500 Gore is showcasing its successful, highly breathable and extremely lightweight GORE-TEX Active Shell laminates for summer 2012. These compact, waterproof and windproof 3-layer laminates offer athletic trail runners, mountain bikers and alpine adventurers excellent next to skin comfort and maximum ease of movement in figure-hugging styles.
An undoubted Gore highlight is taking place on the Friday of the show at 2 p.m. in the Foyer of the West Entrance: a GETtogether with world class climbers.
GET stands for the first year of the GORE-TEX Experience Tour, developed and organised for outdoor enthusiasts and carried out by top athletes including Ines Papert, Robert Jasper, Dave MacLeod, Stefan Glowacz and manufacturing partners of Gore such as Mammut, Meindl and La Sportiva. This is the ideal opportunity to look back at an eventful year and to take a look at our on-going and future GORE-TEX Experience Tour projects.
These top athletes will be joined by our “star guest” Edurne Pasaban, the latest addition to Gore’s team of athletes. The amiable Spaniard is one of the world’s most accomplished female high-altitude climbers. At the GETtogether Edurne will be presenting her own GORE-TEX Experience Tour project – one which specifically targets enthusiastic female climbers.
As well as being used for the running events with the final heats taking place on Saturday at 6 p.m., the Gore Trail Running Parcours in the open-air exhibition area is also being used by various partners of Gore (including Lowa, ECCO, Meindl, AKU, Trangoworld and LEKI) for a variety of public events.
